The old Taylor Farmhouse spot on Jupiter Farms Road is getting a second life, this time with a sweet twist. Fabricant Farms is moving in with plans for an ice cream shop, coffee bar and arcade all under one roof, pitched as a relaxed neighborhood hangout rather than a white-tablecloth restaurant. The overhaul is expected to bring dozens of new jobs to the area, and crews are already busy gutting and upgrading the property.
Owner Tyler Fabricant told WPTV that Fabricant Farms "is more than just a restaurant; this is a community place," adding, "we don't grow food here, we grow memories." He said the project will generate at least 40 jobs. The goal is to open the restaurant portion around Thanksgiving, with the ice cream counter and arcade following after that.
Construction work already under way
Heavy-duty work has started on site, including replacing the septic system and carving out roughly 20 additional parking spaces to handle weekend crowds, WPTV reports. Those infrastructure fixes are key to shifting the property from a single restaurant setup to a multi-offering destination where separate concepts can operate side by side.
History of the site
The two-acre parcel first opened as Taylor Farmhouse in 2018 and quickly turned into a local hangout before a management shake-up led to an abrupt closure in late 2023. The shutdown caught neighbors and staff off guard, according to reporting that originally appeared in The Palm Beach Post. The closure followed a brief partnership between the Taylor family and operators tied to Okeechobee Steakhouse.
Who's behind the reboot
State records show a Farms Road or Farms Road-related entity associated with the Jupiter Farms address, with Tyler Fabricant and Nicholas G. Dellinger listed among the principals, according to the Florida Division of Corporations. Local business coverage from late 2024 described a multi-tenant culinary concept at the same address under the name Farms Road, suggesting the current plan grows out of that earlier redevelopment vision, Business Debut reported.
What neighbors can expect
When Taylor Farmhouse suddenly went dark in 2023, nearby residents made it clear they wanted the space to return as a low-key, family-friendly hangout, not a late-night music hub. That sentiment was captured in coverage at the time by The Palm Beach Post. Fabricant's concept for Fabricant Farms, which bundles coffee, ice cream and casual arcade games, tracks closely with that neighborhood-first wish list while also adding jobs and more off-street parking.
Owners say they will share updated timelines and permit milestones as work moves forward, and they expect the long-quiet site to be back in active use later this year. We will keep an eye on further reporting as opening dates firm up and approvals fall into place.
