
A weekend drive on Cleveland’s East Side ended in tragedy Saturday morning after a car slammed into a tree near East 123rd Street and Kinsman Road, Cleveland police said. Emergency responders took the driver to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Officers have not yet released the man’s name and say the cause of the crash remains under investigation.

According to WOIO/Cleveland 19, Cleveland Police told reporters a vehicle hit a tree near the intersection of East 123rd Street and Kinsman Road on Saturday. The station reports the driver was transported to a local hospital, where he later died. Investigators said they do not yet know what led up to the crash and were on scene Saturday conducting an active investigation.

In recent years, Kinsman Road has seen multiple serious wrecks, including single-vehicle crashes in which cars have struck trees or homes.
