Neighborhood context
School-area knife calls have triggered similar community alerts this year. In October, detectives responded to a report of a person with a knife at a Boston school in Roxbury and secured the weapon without making any arrests, as reported by WCVB. The latest alert adds to ongoing concerns about safety along busy Washington Street and on routes students use to and from school.
Police say photos and video related to this case may be submitted anonymously through CrimeStoppers, and the department states it will safeguard the identities of those who provide information. Anyone with footage or tips is asked to contact District B-2 detectives or use the CrimeStoppers channels listed above.
