
A house party near Jones Boulevard and Flamingo Road turned deadly Thursday night when gunfire broke out, killing a man, according to Las Vegas police. Multiple callers reported shots in the 4300 block of Brookhaven Drive, and medical personnel rushed a wounded man to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Detectives said the victim had been at a house party in the area before the shooting.
In a post from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, investigators said LVMPD dispatch received several reports of gunfire in the 4300 block of Brookhaven Drive and that homicide detectives responded to the scene. Police said an exchange took place before shots were fired and struck the victim. Authorities said medical personnel transported the victim to a hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. Identification of the man, along with the official cause and manner of death, will come from the Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner, which oversees death inquiries in the county.
