
Jacksonville police swarmed a stretch of Edgewood Avenue West near Interstate 95 on Sunday night after a person was found fatally injured in the Lake Forest neighborhood. Officers shut down part of Edgewood while homicide detectives combed the area for evidence and knocked on doors looking for witnesses.
The case was first reported by First Coast News, which noted that homicide detectives were handling the investigation and that officials expected to brief the media shortly after 11 p.m. Sunday.
