
An 84-year-old man was killed Saturday when his car was rear-ended on Maryland Route 100 in Severn, according to Anne Arundel County police. The crash happened on the eastbound lanes of Paul T. Pitcher Memorial Highway near WB&A Road. Authorities identified the victim as Kenneth King.

Investigators say a 38-year-old man driving a 2007 Lexus was traveling east when he struck a 2007 Honda from behind. Both vehicles came to rest on the right shoulder, according to WMAR2 News. Police told the station that the Honda’s driver, identified as 84-year-old Kenneth King, died from his injuries, while the Lexus driver was not hurt.
