A quiet West Philadelphia block turned into an active crime scene Wednesday after a person was found dead inside a parked car near 58th and Alter streets in the Cobbs Creek neighborhood. Police are calling the circumstances suspicious and say a full investigation is underway.
Authorities have not publicly identified the person, and officers kept the area taped off as investigators worked the scene and tried to piece together what happened.
According to NBC10 Philadelphia, officers discovered the person inside the vehicle and described the death as "suspicious." Officials have not released any additional details about the individual.
