Apex police are putting the word out across the Triangle, asking for help to identify a man caught in photos on social media who they say is a person of interest in several crimes spanning Wake, Chatham, Randolph and Moore counties. Officers say anyone who recognizes him, or has images or video, could provide a crucial break in a growing multi-county investigation.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, the department labeled the unidentified man a “person of interest” in incidents tied to those four counties and urged residents to send in tips. The post names Investigator Robert Henderson as the contact and lists his email as “[email protected],” according to the Apex Police Department on Facebook.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 for emergencies or use the department’s non-emergency line at (919) 362-8661 for non-urgent tips. For those who prefer email or an in-person follow-up, the town’s police page lists additional contact information and the department’s address, per the Apex Police Department.

The Facebook post does not describe the specific alleged offenses but states that the man is connected to reports across Wake, Chatham, Randolph and Moore counties.
