North Dallas is about to get a lot louder, at least virtually. A motorsports-themed simulator lounge called Velocity is gearing up to open a flagship location in the area this summer, promising a big-room entertainment setup with a central bar, full kitchen and dozens of professional-grade racing simulators. The plan is to cater to casual groups and hardcore sim racers alike, with memberships and race watch parties ready to roll from day one, adding another late-night option along the North Dallas entertainment corridor.
As reported by WFAA, Velocity expects the Dallas lounge to top 10,000 square feet, with 34 professional-grade simulators split into three distinct racing zones wrapped around a central bar and full kitchen. The company told WFAA it is building a custom "Virtual Dallas" course that sends drivers south along U.S. 75 toward downtown, then loops them back north on the tollway. Guests will also be able to climb into virtual Porsche and Lamborghini models and turn laps on tracks such as Circuit of the Americas, Laguna Seca and Silverstone. "Motorsports and racing have been a huge part of my life, and Velocity is about sharing that passion with the community," owner Viet Tran said in a statement to WFAA.
According to Velocity's website, the Dallas location is listed as "Coming Q2 2026," and the brand plans to introduce memberships, monthly challenges and a slate of private-event options in the new space. The site also details the booking system and menu approach used at the Houston location, hinting that Dallas guests can expect a similar mix of reservations, walk-ins and food-and-drink service.
Velocity launched its first lounge in Houston's Sawyer Yards and used full-motion rigs and custom tracks to build a local following, Houston Chronicle reported. Founder Viet Tran told the outlet the concept grew from a long-running love of motorsports and simulation technology, with the goal of expanding beyond Houston once the model was tested and proven.

Inside the Dallas flagship, Velocity is planning a tiered lineup of rigs intended to work for first-timers as well as seasoned sim racers, along with a central bar, a full food program and areas set aside for watch parties and competitive events. The company told WFAA that guests can look for monthly leaderboards, intercity events linked to the Houston location and a patent-pending two-driver simulator designed so kids and adults can race side by side. Sessions are expected to let drivers bounce between famous circuits and custom city layouts without having to leave their pod.

Velocity's Locations page currently tags Dallas as "Coming Q2 2026," and local job listings suggest the company is already staffing up for the launch. According to Velocity and postings on Indeed, the team is recruiting for a general manager, hospitality roles and additional operations and food-and-beverage staff as it prepares to open the flagship.
As sim-racing lounges become more common, Velocity's Dallas outpost is positioning itself as a blend of motorsports authenticity and nightlife energy, giving gearheads, curious beginners and big groups another reason to head north after dark.
