
A man believed to be about 30 years old died after a late-night shooting in north Houston on Sunday, despite managing to reach a nearby store to try to get help.
Officers were called around 11 p.m. to the 15900 block of West Hardy Road, where store employees found the wounded man and called 911. Houston Fire Department crews took him to a hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead.
What police say
According to police, the man had been struck once. Officers began treating him at the scene before Houston Fire Department crews arrived. Investigators told reporters they do not yet have information about a suspect or a possible motive in the shooting, according to Click2Houston.
