A late-night meet-up at the Hilton Garden Inn in Mount Juliet went sideways fast when a 33-year-old Florida man was robbed at gunpoint in his hotel room after arranging to meet someone he had connected with online. Mt. Juliet police say three men stormed the room, robbed the victim, and took off, but a swift, multi-agency response soon had four suspects in custody. The investigation is still active.

According to the Mt. Juliet Police Department, officers were dispatched around 3:30 a.m. and could hear the 911 call and see the caller’s exact location in real time, which let them coordinate an immediate response as the suspects fled. Chief Tyler Chandler said, “This incident highlights what can be accomplished when preparation, technology, and teamwork come together.”

As reported by NewsChannel 5, the suspects jumped into a vehicle and led officers on a pursuit that crossed into Nashville and ended at a dead-end in Hermitage. Two people were taken into custody at the vehicle, while two others ran into nearby woods. A Metro Nashville helicopter and K9 teams were called in, and all four were eventually located. Police say they recovered a rifle, an airsoft pistol, and the victim’s stolen belongings.

How Officers Tracked The Suspects

The department credited its recent investment in a Live 911 system that streams 911 audio and location directly to officers in the field, giving them real-time situational awareness while the call is still in progress. Industry reporting notes that Flock Safety and other vendors have rolled out similar Live-911 and drone-integration tools that can speed up responses and help coordinate searches, as Dro*/neLife details.

The Mt. Juliet release lists those apprehended as a 28-year-old male from Arkansas, a 27-year-old male from Arkansas who was already wanted there on unrelated warrants, a 19-year-old female from Arkansas, and a 17-year-old juvenile male. Police say the investigation remains ongoing and are asking anyone with information to contact Mt. Juliet authorities. No formal charges had been filed publicly at the time of the release.
