After years of planning and construction, Parma’s revamped Ridgewood Golf Club and brand-new event center are finally ready for their close-up, with doors opening to the public next Wednesday and a ribbon-cutting set for that afternoon. City leaders are banking on the modern, multiuse space to reel in weddings, charity galas, fundraisers and even indoor golf leagues to keep the place buzzing through the winter.

According to the City of Parma, the city’s 2026 recreation booklet lays out a long list of clubhouse perks: six state-of-the-art golf simulators, a fully furnished bar dubbed the Flamingo Pub, outdoor patios and a pavilion. The booklet also highlights an event space that city documents say can accommodate about 200 guests and comes with a private dressing and makeup room tailored for weddings and other special events.

"It's just so fulfilling to see this end product come to fruition," Parma service director Tony Vannello said, as reported by News 5 Cleveland. Parks and recreation director Mickey Vittardi told the outlet the opening lines up with Parma's bicentennial and that officials are "thinking big" about the site’s future.

The design is all about flexibility. As detailed in the city’s recreation booklet, automated partition walls let the main room function as one large hall or be split into smaller rental spaces, depending on what’s on the calendar. Fourteen-foot glass windows and covered patio sections are meant to stretch the outdoor season, while city staff say the temporary trailer clubhouse used during construction is gone, replaced with new green space around the course.

Parking, price tag and bookings

News 5 Cleveland reports the city values the project at $14 million and that officials say it wrapped up on time and on budget, with expectations it will create dozens of jobs. The outlet also notes the ribbon-cutting is planned for 2 p.m. next Wednesday and that parking has been expanded from roughly 130 spaces to 237. Residents looking to reserve the space or apply for jobs can head to the Ridgewood Golf Course website for event requests and hiring information.
