
A Saturday night stabbing on the 6200 block of Pacific Coast Highway in Long Beach left a man hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, while the suspect slipped away before officers arrived and remains on the loose as detectives work to track down witnesses.
What Police Say Happened
According to a blotter release from the Long Beach Police Department, officers responded at about 10:07 p.m. and found a male adult suffering from stab wounds to his upper body. Long Beach Fire Department personnel took the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment, where his injuries were described as non-life-threatening. "The preliminary investigation indicates the victim and the male adult suspect are known to each other," the department wrote.
