Local reporting has also followed permit filings for quick-service chains along the road, including plans for a second Popeyes on FM 1314, per Hoodline.
Incentives and the economics
Public incentives have helped lure projects to the area. The East Montgomery County Improvement District approved sales-tax rebate agreements intended to attract retail developments near the Grand Parkway and FM 1314. EMCID officials told Community Impact that the rebates can be used to lower rents, help build out space or otherwise make projects more competitive for tenants.
