
One person is fighting for life after a stabbing just west of Uptown Charlotte early Tuesday morning, according to paramedics.
The attack was reported around 5 a.m. along Grandin Road near West Morehead Street and Freedom Drive. MEDIC crews arrived and found a victim suffering from stab wounds, then rushed the patient to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, WCNC reported.
Police have not released any information about a suspect, and no arrests had been announced as of Tuesday morning while the investigation remains active.

The incident unfolded on Grandin Road near West Morehead Street and Freedom Drive, just west of Uptown. That stretch sits at the edge of Wesley Heights, a neighborhood local coverage has long described as a literal dividing line between Uptown and the city's west side, as Charlotte Magazine has noted.
