Early Monday turned violent inside Milwaukee's Mt. Sinai Hospital when a double shooting left two people wounded and a man in handcuffs. Police say the gunfire erupted inside the downtown medical center near 12th and State, and medics rushed both victims into emergency care. One person is being treated for life-threatening gunshot injuries, while the second victim suffered wounds that are not considered life threatening.
Police response and custody
Officers were called to the hospital at about 2:15 a.m. and took a 37-year-old man into custody at the scene. Investigators say there is no ongoing threat to the public, according to TMJ4.
