A 30-year-old woman was stabbed at a bus stop in East Elmhurst early Monday morning, according to police. The woman was wounded in the hand and back at the corner of 94th Street and 23rd Avenue just before 6:20 a.m. She was taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition. Authorities say a man dressed entirely in black ran east on 23rd Avenue after the attack, and no arrests have been announced.
According to ABC7 New York, Eyewitness News reported the victim’s age and the time of the stabbing, and relayed police information describing the suspect as a man in all black who fled eastbound on 23rd Avenue. That early broadcast remains the main public account of the incident so far.
