A 17-year-old boy was stabbed Monday night in Jackson Heights, turning a neighborhood corner into a crime scene as officers scrambled to find a group of masked suspects who ran off into the dark.
The attack happened around 7:53 p.m. near the intersection of 81st Street and 32nd Avenue, where witnesses described a chaotic scene as the teen was treated on the sidewalk. Police said he suffered multiple stab wounds and was rushed by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, where he was listed in stable condition, according to the New York Daily News.
Detectives said several suspects wearing ski masks were last seen running from the area on foot while officers canvassed nearby blocks. There were no immediate arrests, and the investigation remained active Monday night, with police interviewing witnesses in the neighborhood, the Daily News reported.
