Nassau County detectives said the crash happened at about 5:22 p.m. A 57-year-old man driving a 2025 GMC pickup west on Lufberry Avenue turned south onto Briard Street and hit Crowley. Daily Voice also reported that public payroll records showed she was still receiving pay from the department as of 2025. Originally from Lynbrook, Crowley graduated from Lynbrook High School, attended Towson University and had lived in Freeport and Oceanside. Her social media posts indicate she is survived by her husband and two adult children.
