Durham police say officers responded to the area, started an investigation on the spot, and found that at least one vehicle had been left with damage. According to WRAL, Durham police reported that the driver of a suspect vehicle opened fire on another car while both were traveling on I‑85 near the Hillandale Road exit on Saturday. Officers told the outlet that no injuries were reported, but they did see property damage as they worked the scene.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the confrontation, or who may have dash‑cam or cellphone video of the encounter, to contact investigators, according to the City of Durham website.
