Skies will turn mostly sunny and the city will warm up fast this afternoon, with a high around 83F. That early season heat hangs around into Tuesday and Thursday, when daytime highs are expected to climb into the upper 80s.
Afternoon Winds Pick Up
Southerly breezes will crank up later today and could gust around 20 to 25 mph in exposed spots, enough to rattle patio umbrellas and make it feel even warmer. It is a repeat of the same fog-and-breeze pattern we saw Sunday, covered in yesterday's same fog-and-breeze pattern.
Midweek Storms Possible
The setup turns more active by midweek as Gulf moisture streams back into the area. Showers and scattered thunderstorms become more likely by Wednesday, with a few storms capable of brief heavy rain and gusty conditions.
