What to Expect
The new spot, listed as Bar at the Creative Hangars at 2808 Church Ave., will lean hard into a rotating selection of cold-water oysters and classic martinis, with champagne slushies and wines by the glass backing them up, according to Cleveland Scene. The food menu is deliberately streamlined: chilled options such as shrimp cocktail, tuna tartare, caprese salads and Maine-style lobster rolls, plus hot plates including oysters Rockefeller, lobster nachos and roasted potatoes. Service is expected to stay casual and geared primarily toward the happy-hour crowd.

Operators Niko Atheneos and Ian Barrie took over the largest hangar late last year and reworked it into a roughly 500-square-foot main bar room with about a 200-square-foot mezzanine above. The layout keeps things intimate and bar-forward rather than a full-service dining room, with limited seating and a compact mezzanine kitchen handling the hot dishes.

The Creative Hangars launched in 2022 as a makers' market and small-business incubator, later operating under the City Goods banner. That chapter has since wrapped, and owner Graham Veysey is repositioning the property as new tenants move in, according to local reporting.
