Pho Tasty, a regional Vietnamese restaurant group known for its hefty bowls of pho and stacked bánh mì, is planning a new location in the Sunrise Boulevard retail complex. The spot is slated to be part of a food-court-style setup rather than a standalone restaurant, and the company has not yet announced when it will open.
License and location
According to WhatNow, Pho Tasty has filed a license application with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control indicating the restaurant will take over 2738 Sunrise Blvd., Suite 4 in Rancho Cordova. The outlet reports that the brand already operates locations in Davis, Artesia and Auburn and was founded by Sacramento local Allison Lo.
Permits and fit-out
Building-permit records show a tenant-improvement permit for Pho Tasty at the Sunrise address was issued on April 21, 2025, describing an expedited restaurant fit-out and a food-court build-out with permit #590313 and a valuation near $165,000, according to BuildZoom. Those records suggest the new outpost will sit in an interior food-court bay instead of operating as its own street-facing storefront.
Menu and ownership
Pho Tasty’s menu leans hard into pho, with bowls built around rare steak, fresh chicken strips, beef meatballs and tofu, along with spring rolls, egg rolls, bánh mì, vermicelli and rice plates. The lineup also includes smoothies, tea, boba and desserts such as black sea jelly and tri-color chè, per Pho Tasty. The restaurant notes that vegetarian broth is available on request, and its online profiles highlight family-style portions and quick service.

Owner Allison Lo had not posted an opening timeline and could not be reached for comment at the time of reporting, according to WhatNow. For now, pho fans will have to stay patient while the permits and build-out move along.
