The Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa in Ponte Vedra Beach appears to be quietly locking in a new on-site eatery called Soothies Café, according to recently filed plan-review paperwork and the hotel’s own dining listings. If it moves forward as described, the cafe would add a spa-focused, health-minded option to the resort’s existing roster of restaurants and bars. Resort officials have not yet released a menu or an opening date.
Filings point to "Soothie’s"
Plan-review documents submitted by the property’s owner list a restaurant called "Soothie’s" at the resort address, as reported by What Now. The filing itself offers little beyond the name and location, so the size of the space and the full concept are not spelled out in public records just yet.
Hotel pages already show Soothies Café
The resort’s official dining page already lists Soothies Café as a spa-focused spot offering “healthy and energizing drinks, smoothies and salads,” according to Marriott. That description suggests the cafe may be tied to the Sawgrass Spa and pool deck rather than operating as a standalone, street-facing restaurant.
Ownership change likely behind filings
South Street Partners and Dream Finders Homes closed on the property in November 2025 through an entity called DFH-SSP TPC M PROPCO LLC, according to the Jax Daily Record. It is common for new owners to submit updated plans that adjust restaurants and amenities, so the Soothie’s paperwork may be part of an internal refresh under the new ownership team. Locals should expect relatively modest changes such as shifts in hours, trimmed or updated menus, or a refreshed layout, rather than a complete overhaul of major dining outlets.
What remains unclear
Neither the filings nor the hotel’s public listings mention an opening date, an operating team for the cafe, or a finalized menu. What Now reports it is awaiting additional details from the hotel’s owners. Until those details are released, it is not clear whether Soothies will simply be a renamed spa cafe or a broader guest-facing operation with extended hours.
For now, the resort’s dining page and property listing remain the most current public sources for updates. The hotel is located at 1000 Tournament Players Club Blvd in Ponte Vedra Beach and can be reached using the contact information on Marriott. We will keep an eye on additional filings and any official announcements and will update readers when an opening date and menu are announced.
