City Officials Detail Fatal Collision Investigation
According to a City of South Pasadena press release, South Pasadena Police and Fire personnel responded at approximately 10:15 a.m., and South Pasadena Fire Department paramedics provided life-saving care before the pedestrian, described in the release as an elderly male, was transported to a local hospital and later died. The release states that the driver was not injured, remained on scene and cooperated with investigators, and that Hope Street between Fair Oaks Avenue and Brent Avenue was closed for several hours and has since reopened.
