Two suspected burglars were caught on home surveillance forcing their way into a house in the Spring area, with one appearing to carry a handgun as they moved through the rooms and left with stolen property, according to Harris County Constable Precinct 4. Deputies say the break-in happened on August 6, 2025, in the 8100 block of Hideaway Lake Circle, and describe the pair as a slim white male and a slim white female. The constable's office opened case HC2508-00739 after responding that day and is asking neighbors and anyone else nearby to check their own cameras for possible clues and contact investigators.
Precinct 4 Releases Video, Asks Public To Crack The Case
According to Mark Herman, Harris County Constable Precinct 4, the surveillance clip shows one suspect carrying what appears to be a handgun while both suspects move through the residence and take property. The social media post includes still images from several angles, and deputies say they hope the clear shots of faces, clothing and other details will help someone recognize the pair. Officials urged anyone with information to contact dispatch and reference case HC2508-00739 so tips are routed quickly to investigators.
How To Report Tips And Follow Updates
According to Harris County Constable Precinct 4, residents can call dispatch at 281-376-3472 or submit information through local law-enforcement channels. The office also highlights its "C4 NOW" mobile app, which provides live updates on crime and traffic in the area. Officials say tips can be submitted anonymously and that any video, including doorbell-camera clips, could help fill in gaps in the timeline. Deputies specifically asked anyone who recognizes the suspects, their clothing or any vehicles shown in the images to get in touch.
What The Law Says
Under Texas law, burglary is a felony and penalties increase when a habitation is entered or a deadly weapon is involved, according to the Texas Penal Code. That means the alleged weapon seen on video could lead to more serious charges if suspects are identified and arrested. Prosecutors will determine charges based on the investigation, evidence and applicable statutes, officials said.
