Johnson’s Real Ice Cream has opened its latest scoop shop in the Evans Farm neighborhood, bringing the family-owned brand’s retro charm and frozen treats to one of Central Ohio’s buzziest new communities. The walkable storefront quietly debuted on Wednesday with a short grand-opening celebration that drew in nearby residents and families.
Owner Matt Wilcoxon told Columbus Business First the Evans Farm shop is the chain’s 10th Central Ohio location and a major opportunity for the long-running family business, as well as a selling point for the neighborhood itself.
What To Expect At The New Shop
According to Johnson's Real Ice Cream, the Lewis Center storefront is serving the brand’s family-recipe ice creams alongside signature sundaes, ice cream cakes, pints to-go and full-service catering for events. The company’s announcement notes that the shop hosted a March 25 grand-opening event that featured free scoops and giveaways for guests.
