Officers were called to the 1200 block of Quantril Way at about 2:33 a.m., where they found the wounded teenager and began a shooting investigation that now sits with Eastern District detectives.

Medics took him to a nearby hospital for treatment, and the case was handed over to Eastern District detectives.
Detectives seek tips
Eastern District shooting detectives are asking anyone with information to call 410-396-2433 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP, according to the Baltimore Police Department newsroom. The department notes that Metro Crime Stoppers also accepts anonymous tips online and by text, and it lists a media relations contact for reporters seeking follow-up details.
Neighborhood background
Armistead Gardens is a wartime-era housing cooperative in Northeast Baltimore that the Armistead Homes Corporation says includes roughly 1,500 homes. The community was originally constructed to house defense workers during World War II, and the Armistead Homes site notes that it is run through a leaseholder-led corporation. Residents use local tip lines and neighborhood services in tandem with city police to address safety concerns.
Investigation ongoing
Police have not announced any arrests or publicly identified any suspects in the shooting, and the investigation remains active. The Baltimore Police Department advises that detectives are still urging neighbors who may have video footage or additional information to contact authorities to help piece together what happened on Quantril Way.
