According to FOX13 Memphis, a person armed with a black handgun fired up to five shots at a group of teens, hitting one of them. The injured teen was later found inside a home on Yale Avenue and is expected to recover, police told the outlet.
Officers arrested a 16-year-old at a residence about a block from the scene. Investigators said he now faces a stack of charges: attempted murder, four counts of aggravated assault, employment of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, and reckless endangerment. Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
