Baymeadows Village is about to get a serious sugar upgrade. Tous les Jours is set to open its second Jacksonville bakery in mid-April, bringing the French-Asian chain's cloud cakes, fresh breads and cafe drinks to a full-size storefront instead of a food-court counter. The Baymeadows location will give Southside shoppers more room, more pastries and more coffee, with franchisees saying the shop will carry a broader selection than the existing Lotte Plaza Market kiosk.

According to the Jacksonville Business Journal, the Baymeadows bakery is scheduled to open in mid-April 2026 and is being developed by a local husband-and-wife team that holds area franchise rights. The outlet also reported the couple is steering the brand's expansion beyond its initial food-court presence.

City permit filings show the new shop will land at 9810 Baymeadows Road, Unit 6, a roughly 4,360-square-foot space, with a tenant build-out pegged at about $200,000, according to the Jacksonville Daily Record. Permits list June Ye LLC as the contractor on the project, turning a former Panera Bread into a new pastry hub.

Franchisee Andy Yang told What Now he “grew up with the brand at H-Mart” and wants the Baymeadows spot to feel like a neighborhood cafe, not just another chain. What Now also notes the first Jacksonville Tous les Jours opened last September inside Lotte Plaza Market at 9355 Atlantic Blvd, and the Baymeadows build-out is designed to give the brand a much larger, standalone presence.

Menu Highlights And Footprint

Tous les Jours is known for its airy “cloud” cakes, ube and matcha drinks, and a long roster of sweet and savory pastries. The company highlights breads, cakes and handcrafted beverages as its core offerings on its website (TOUS les JOURS). Restaurant Business reports the chain says it has roughly 300 items in its overall menu playbook, with individual locations typically stocking about 100 at a time, so the Baymeadows cafe is expected to pour out more variety than a compact food-court kiosk can handle.

What Baymeadows Gets

The Baymeadows Village addition turns the former Panera Bread space into a full-service pastry cafe with seating and an expanded menu, adding a steady bake-and-brew operation to a strip center that has seen its share of restaurant turnover, per the Jacksonville Daily Record. The larger footprint is expected to support made-to-order sandwiches, whole cakes and a wider slate of beverages that the original kiosk format could not accommodate.

Franchisees are still targeting a mid-April opening and have signaled there will be grand-opening promotions once a firm date is locked in. When the doors do open this spring, Southside residents will have one more spot to grab morning coffee, afternoon pastries and specialty cakes without leaving the neighborhood.
