Hinojosa currently works as executive director of operations at Harlandale ISD in San Antonio, where he has overseen stadium and facilities projects, according to Spectrum News. Before stepping into that role, he "previously held the roles of head football coach and athletic director at UCISD," as KABB reported.

Superintendent Ashley Chohlis announced in February that she would resign to become chief of staff at Pflugerville ISD. Her departure from Uvalde is effective April 7, 2026, according to KSAT.
