Hangry Joe's, a fast-casual Nashville-style hot chicken chain, is bringing some serious heat to Crocker Park in Westlake this April, with its first location in Northeast Ohio. The new outpost will serve up the brand's signature Chicken Sando sandwiches across a range of spice levels, including the over-the-top "Angry Hot." The local franchise owner told WKYC the Crocker Park location will be halal-certified, a detail that is likely to matter to many diners in the region.
Owner Says Crocker Park Is The Right Fit
In a statement to WKYC, Westlake franchise owner Omar Al-Qadan said, "Crocker Park is where people come to shop, dine, and spend time together, and we’re excited to add a Nashville hot chicken option right in the middle of it." The station reported that the store is slated to open in April, although a firm grand-opening date is still being finalized by the operator. The WKYC story was first published on March 11, 2026.
What To Expect On The Menu
The Crocker Park restaurant will serve the chain's core lineup, including sandwiches, tenders, wings, chicken & waffles, wraps and loaded sides, with the Mega Chicken Sando positioned as a likely headliner. According to the chain's product page, the Mega Chicken Sando features an 8-ounce seasoned chicken breast topped with cider slaw, pickles and Hangry sauce on a brioche bun. Guests can choose spice levels from plain all the way up to "Angry Hot," and the company posts an Angry Hot waiver on its site for anyone attempting the hottest level.
Why Crocker Park
Crocker Park is a mixed-use development with more than 150 stores at 177 Market Street that promotes itself as Greater Cleveland’s destination for shopping, dining and living. The property’s pedestrian promenade, regular events and steady foot traffic make it an obvious landing spot for fast-casual concepts aimed at daytime shoppers and evening crowds, according to the development’s website. The addition of Hangry Joe's will give Westlake shoppers another quick-serve dinner option inside the park.
Chain Growth And Next Steps
Hangry Joe's has been expanding nationwide as franchisees move into new markets, and trade coverage has tracked recent milestones for the brand. QSR Magazine reported on a recent 100th-store opening as part of that growth. WKYC says the Westlake operator will announce specific grand-opening plans closer to the April launch.
