Response and neighborhood context
Winnetka has seen a string of large LAFD responses in recent weeks. A Cohasset Street structure fire late last month drew a full local turnout, as reported in coverage of the Cohasset Street blaze, and a January commercial-building fire pulled in more than 120 firefighters, according to CBS Los Angeles.
Station 104 was the primary on the call
Fire Station 104, located at 8349 Winnetka Ave, covers the Winnetka neighborhood and was listed on the alert, according to the department's station listing. The LAFD typically posts follow-up details to its Alerts page and social channels, and officials are expected to release information on the cause and any updated injury reports if investigators make further determinations.
For now, the department's X post remains the most complete public account of the incident. Officials have not yet released details on damage estimates or an official cause.
