Woodland’s getting a new place to fuel up on açaí and smoothies, as Northern California-born superfood café Vitality Bowls locks in a spot at the Woodland Gateway shopping center. First-time franchisees Harjaspreet Rajasonsi and Kunarveer Singh have leased 2061 Bronze Star Dr, Unit 200, and say construction on the space is expected to kick off soon, with a tentative July 2026 opening on the books. The café is set to serve the chain’s customizable açaí and pitaya bowls, cold-pressed juices, smoothies and a lineup of paninis and wraps. The compact shop is planned for roughly 15 seats indoors, plus space for another five to 10 guests on the outdoor patio.
Menu And Brand Basics
Vitality Bowls leans hard into its fresh, no-filler pitch. The brand’s menu spells out that bowls and smoothies contain "NO ice, NO frozen yogurt, NO artificial preservatives, NO trans fats, or any other fillers." As detailed on the Vitality Bowls menu, bases range from açaí and pitaya to cacao and housemade chia pudding, while the broader menu adds wraps, toasts, salads and cold-pressed juices. A franchise announcement republished by Franchising.com notes that the company is targeting a summer 2026 debut in Woodland and already runs nearby locations in Roseville and Vacaville. The release also highlights a loyalty app that supports online ordering and rewards.
Local Owners, Timeline And The Local Pitch
Rajasonsi and Singh told What Now Sacramento they chose Vitality Bowls because it "tastes phenomenal" and lines up with their focus on boosting community health. The outlet reports the pair are first-time franchisees and that construction on the current cold-shell space should begin "within the next month or so," with a tentative opening date set for July 2026. Working with a small footprint at Woodland Gateway, the partners say they hope to grow the brand across Greater Sacramento and into nearby college hubs like Davis and Chico if demand keeps pace.
