Northwest Hills is about to smell a lot more like hot cheese and a lot less like pressed shirts. Allday Pizza, one of Austin’s buzziest slice operations, is moving into the former Reid’s Dry Cleaners & Laundry at 3720 FM 2222 near Dry Creek Drive, transforming the building into the brand’s biggest dining room yet. Owners plan a full restaurant setup with indoor and outdoor seating and a complete bar program.
According to the Austin American-Statesman, the Northwest Hills shop will be a noticeable upgrade in size and style from Allday’s earlier counter-service spots. The team is planning a hybrid model that keeps the familiar walk-up counter while adding traditional table service. They also hope to operate more days of the week than some of their previous, more part-time projects.
Permit records and construction details surfaced in coverage by What Now Austin, which tracks the buildout at 3720 Ranch to Market Road 2222. Those documents show work kicking off last October and scheduled to wrap in early June 2026, with an anticipated Summer 2026 opening window. Neighbors can expect to see the old dry cleaner slowly morph into a full-fledged neighborhood restaurant as exterior and interior work move ahead.
What the Northwest Hills Location Will Offer
“This is the first time we really get to stand on our own and shape the whole experience,” co-owner Dan Sorg told the Austin American-Statesman. He said the goal is to keep Allday’s easygoing counter-service vibe while layering in a more complete sit-down experience, including a proper bar stocked for wine and cocktails.
Allday is the brainchild of Sorg and partner Townsend Smith, a collaboration that first took off inside Flo’s Wine Bar & Bottle Shop in Tarrytown in 2023, as reported by the Austin Chronicle. The duo cut their teeth in the Sammataro pizza-truck scene before spinning Allday into a Hyde Park counter spot, and the Northwest Hills project marks their next step into a larger, standalone restaurant format.
The menu at the new location is expected to stay true to Allday’s hits, including thin-crust, 16-inch New York-style pies, salads, an Italian grinder and the shop’s signature soft serve, according to Allday Pizza and Flo’s online menu. Regulars from Tarrytown and Hyde Park say those pies and seasonal toppings already draw steady lines, and the bigger Northwest Hills space is poised to ease the crunch on busy nights.
All signs from construction and permit filings point to a Summer 2026 debut, per What Now Austin, although the owners have not locked in an official opening date. Keep an eye on Allday’s social channels and the build site along FM/RM 2222 for word of soft openings as the project nears the finish line.
