
An 18-year-old man was stabbed multiple times Sunday night just off Times Square and rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where he was reported in stable condition after suffering wounds to his abdomen, back and hip, authorities said.
Police Piece Together Midtown Stabbing
According to police, the attack happened at about 9:23 p.m. near West 39th Street and Eighth Avenue and left the teen with several stab wounds, as first reported by the New York Post. Detectives are reviewing surveillance video and interviewing witnesses as they work to determine whether the stabbing was a random encounter or a targeted assault.
Teen Rushed To Bellevue, Suspect Still Unaccounted For
EMS crews took the wounded 18-year-old to Bellevue Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, according to PIX11. As of Monday morning, police had not announced any arrests. Detectives remained in the area canvassing for additional witnesses and security footage to help track down whoever carried out the attack.

Another Violent Flashpoint Near Times Square
The stabbing is the latest violent incident in the Times Square area to draw scrutiny from police and city officials. In a previous case, a 14-year-old was stabbed in the busy tourist hub in April 2025 and also taken to Bellevue Hospital, as reported by amNewYork.
