Scooter's Coffee is rolling into Sussex with caffeine and swag on tap, as a new drive-through and walk-up kiosk is set to open Monday, April 20, 2026, complete with a string of giveaways aimed at early risers and curious commuters.
Owners Brad and Crystal Williams say the launch will feature preloaded gift cards for the first 100 customers, branded merchandise giveaways over the first few weeks and a drawing for a $500 gift card. In other words, your morning coffee run might come with a side of prizes.
The kiosk is going up at the southwest corner of Business Drive and Highway 164, facing the Highlands Business Park, and is scheduled to run daily from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. A grand-opening ribbon-cutting is set for 9 a.m. on Friday, May 1, when the shop plans to hand out free medium drinks throughout the day, along with other promotional events, the outlet reports.
Menu, hours and chain footprint
Scooter's is an Omaha-based drive-through chain known for sweet specialty drinks like the Caramelicious, along with a broader menu that includes lattes, espressos, energy infusions and breakfast items. The company’s website outlines seasonal flavors, food options and a rewards program, and lists several Wisconsin locations in the greater Milwaukee area.
Contractor Bayland Buildings has the Sussex project pegged at roughly 600 square feet and expects construction to wrap up in spring 2026. That compact format lines up with Scooter's suburban strategy, where small-footprint, drive-through-focused spots are designed to catch on-the-go traffic and nearby office workers.
The Sussex franchise will be owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Bradley and Crystal Williams, who told local business reporters they plan to hire about a dozen employees and look at additional suburban locations as they build the brand locally, per BizTimes Milwaukee. The project also includes a walk-up window, outdoor seating and a drive-through lane.
Expect a crowd on opening day and again at the May 1 grand-opening celebration, as word of the giveaways gets around. Those who would rather skip the line can use Scooter's app and rewards program, which offer mobile ordering and prepayment while the new shop finds its rhythm.
