Three Boston men are now sitting in Beverly Hills jail cells after detectives say they chased the suspects clear across the country in connection with a brazen, wrist-snatching armed robbery last summer. Officers responded to the 9700 block of South Santa Monica Boulevard on August 5, 2025, where investigators say one suspect grabbed a woman’s watch while another showed a firearm. Police say the men were ultimately traced to Massachusetts with help from federal and local partners, then brought back to Southern California to face charges.
Beverly Hills detectives have identified the suspects as Bobby Peele, 29, Austin Glover, 28, and Alex Brazier, authorities said. According to MyNewsLA, Peele and Glover were taken into custody in Boston on Feb. 25, while Brazier was arrested there on April 14. All three were transported back to Beverly Hills and are now awaiting trial.
What Police Say Happened On Santa Monica Boulevard
Officers responded just after 8 p.m. on August 5, 2025, to reports that a man approached a woman from behind and forcibly yanked her watch off her wrist while an accomplice displayed a firearm, the Beverly Hills Police Department said. The two were seen fleeing in a waiting white vehicle, triggering a follow-up investigation that eventually pushed detectives to look far beyond city limits and into Massachusetts. As reported by NBC Los Angeles, the department described the crime as a coordinated, armed robbery.
How Detectives Tracked The Suspects To Boston
Investigators executed search warrants and followed a series of leads that pointed them to addresses in the Boston area, according to the department. With help from the U.S. Marshals Service and the Randolph Police Department, authorities located the three men and took them into custody without incident, MyNewsLA reports. Beverly Hills officials credited department resources and technology for slowly unraveling the case over months of follow-up work.
Luxury Theft Keeps Beverly Hills On Alert
Beverly Hills has long wrestled with high-value robberies, particularly involving pricey watches and designer goods, keeping local policing and ever-present surveillance under a steady microscope. The Los Angeles Times reported on a 2021 case in which a man’s $500,000 watch was stolen during a daytime restaurant holdup, an episode officials often cite when talking about patterns of theft in the area. Crime analysts say the mix of wealthy targets and constant foot traffic makes Beverly Hills an attractive stop for organized crews looking for quick, lucrative hauls.
Where The Case Stands Now
All three suspects have been transported to Beverly Hills and are awaiting trial, according to NBC Los Angeles. Prosecutors have not yet released the formal charges or arraignment dates, and police say the investigation remains active. Authorities are asking anyone with information about the Aug. 5 incident to contact the Beverly Hills Police Department's tip line.
For now, the arrests cap a long-running chapter of an investigation that stretched from an upscale stretch of Santa Monica Boulevard to neighborhoods outside Boston. Detectives say they are still piecing together evidence to determine whether the three are connected to any similar incidents in the region.
