Two men are now behind bars in connection with a fatal shooting at a South Fulton restaurant, months after gunfire ripped through the business and left a 46-year-old man dead, authorities said.
Arrest warrants identify Ah'zion Griggs and Amarion Minor, and booking logs show both were taken to the Fulton County Jail on April 6, 2026. Investigators said the Oct. 1, 2025 shooting initially wounded a 46-year-old man who was later pronounced dead.
The gunfire broke out between about 10:30 and 10:40 p.m. on Oct. 1, 2025 at Lost In Da Souse Kitchen at 5307 Old National Highway in South Fulton. Officers arrived to find a man suffering from gunshot wounds and rushed him to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment. Surveillance footage and police images showed people firing into the business from outside, according to WSB-TV.
According to 11Alive, arrest warrants allege Griggs fired a 9mm handgun into the restaurant from outside, while Minor carried a 9mm equipped with a conversion switch that made it capable of fully automatic fire. Both men are charged with murder and were booked into the Fulton County Jail, according to jail records. Warrants identify the victim as 46-year-old Lyles Olumuyiwa, who died from his injuries.
How Investigators Tracked Suspects
Police released four images of persons of interest the day after the shooting and asked the public to help identify them. Investigators say a mix of community tips and forensic review of surveillance video helped lead detectives to the suspects months later, according to Atlanta News First. Authorities did not immediately say whether they expect any additional arrests.
Charges And Legal Stakes
Both Griggs and Minor face murder charges that carry some of the toughest penalties on the books in Georgia. The state’s homicide statute defines malice murder and allows punishments up to life imprisonment or, in limited situations, the death penalty, according to Justia. Prosecutors will decide what degree of homicide to pursue as the case moves through Fulton County courts, and investigators say the case remains active.
South Fulton police did not immediately respond to requests for comment when contacted, and 11Alive reported it had reached out for updates. Anyone with information about the Oct. 1 shooting is asked to contact the South Fulton Police Department at (470) 809-7300, police said.
