A 34-year-old Thornville man is behind bars after a domestic-related shooting in the Fairfield Beach area Thursday evening, according to Fairfield County authorities. Deputies and officers with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources responded to a 911 call in the 13000 block of Hawthorn Road, where first responders found a woman in the front yard with a gunshot wound. She was taken to a local hospital with injuries described as not life-threatening, and the suspect was taken into custody at the scene without incident.

Fairfield County Sheriff Alex Lape identified the suspect as Danny J. Mosley and said he was booked into the Fairfield County Jail on an initial charge of having weapons while under disability. Detectives from the sheriff’s office have launched an active investigation, and the Fairfield County Prosecutor’s Office is reviewing the case for potential additional charges. According to WSYX, the 911 call came in at about 6 p.m.
