A Plainfield woman is facing a stack of serious charges after Yorkville police say she repeatedly engaged in sexual conduct with a juvenile over several months.
Faith R. Hansen, 24, was arrested Wednesday by the Yorkville Police Department, then taken to the Kendall County Jail. She is charged with 14 felonies in all, including seven counts of criminal sexual assault and seven counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse stemming from alleged incidents between January and March 2024, according to Patch.
Yorkville police publicly announced the arrest following an investigation that the department says began in February, Shaw Local reported. That outlet also listed the charges and published a booking photo provided by the Kendall County Sheriff's Office.
Investigation and booking details
Patch reported that detectives concluded the alleged conduct happened on multiple occasions between January and March 2024 and that Hansen was booked into the Kendall County Jail. According to that report, jail records showed a scheduled court date for Friday, although full charging documents have not yet been made public.
Legal context
Under Illinois law, criminal sexual assault, which covers certain acts of sexual penetration, is generally charged as a Class 1 felony. Aggravated criminal sexual abuse, which involves sexual conduct under specified aggravating circumstances, is typically a Class 2 felony, according to the Illinois Compiled Statutes. Penalties vary depending on the statute and the facts alleged, and convictions can include prison terms and sex offender registration requirements. The statutory language is available through the Illinois General Assembly and in legal summaries online.
