Early Saturday on Houston’s southeast side, gunfire at Paradise City Gentleman's Club along the Gulf Freeway turned deadly, leaving at least one person dead and another wounded. The shooting drew a heavy police presence as investigators worked the scene well into the morning.
What Police Know So Far
Houston police say the call came in around 5:02 a.m. at 12330 Gulf Freeway. According to authorities, at least two people were hit by gunfire, and one of them was reportedly dead by the time officers arrived. The suspected shooter had already left the scene, and homicide detectives were called out to take over the investigation, according to Click2Houston.
Club’s History Of Violence
This is not the first time violence has hit the club. In 2020, a security guard at the same Gulf Freeway location shot and killed a man who had returned to the club carrying a pistol, according to the Houston Chronicle. The club’s own website lists its address as 12330 Gulf Freeway near Fuqua, matching the location cited by police, according to Paradise City.
Investigation Still Unfolding
As of early Saturday, Houston police had not released the names of the victims or any description of a suspect, and no arrests had been reported. Officials described the case as a developing situation with limited details publicly available so far, according to Click2Houston. Homicide detectives remained on scene as the investigation continued.
