The cafe is set to take over the ground-floor space that served as Ten Thousand Villages' downtown home for about 20 years, just a short walk from the University of Michigan's main campus. Operators who run the brand's Dearborn shop say they plan to open the Ann Arbor location in the months ahead.

Commercial real estate filings show the space comes in at roughly 2,298 square feet and had been Ten Thousand Villages' downtown home for about two decades. REJournals reported that Gerdom Realty represented the tenant, and a Colliers Ann Arbor listing confirms the 2,298-square-foot retail unit.
What To Expect Downtown
Operators who opened the Dearborn Bora Bora told WhatNow the Ann Arbor shop should open in a couple of months. WhatNow also places the storefront near the corner of S Main and E Liberty, next to Shalimar and across from Black Pearl, a few blocks west of the university. Local newsletter The Michigander notes Bora Bora appears on a list of 25+ national locations, signaling the Ann Arbor outpost will join a growing regional push.
