One of San Antonio's most familiar bargain stops is about to trade strip centers. The Marshalls at Fiesta Trails on the I‑10 corridor is closing its doors next week, with the final day of business set for Sunday, April 12. The longtime off‑price retailer is shifting a few miles west to The Rim, where managers say it will reopen later in the month. Shoppers who count on the store for discounted apparel and home goods are being told they will see the same bargain‑heavy mix in a new plaza.
TJX's Marshalls confirmed the move in an update to local media. A store spokesperson told MySA that the Fiesta Trails location at 12635 I‑10 West, Suite 505 will operate through Sunday, April 12, and that the new store at 5811 Worth Parkway, Suite 109 is expected to open on Thursday, April 16. City building records list 5811 Worth Parkway as part of the Rim retail block, according to City of San Antonio records. In an email quoted by the outlet, PR supervisor Caitlin McCarthy said, “We are excited to welcome shoppers in the San Antonio community to our newest location later this spring.”
The relocation was originally scheduled for January 29, but crews at The Rim site were still working through structural tasks at the end of that month. A store manager told MySA that “construction delays” disrupted the plan and pushed the opening into April instead. The company says the brief delay should not affect Marshalls' broader footprint in San Antonio.
Why The Rim
The Rim ranks among the city's busiest northwest retail hubs, a magnet for national chains that want heavy weekday and weekend traffic. Recent openings and in‑store projects there, including a Hard Eight BBQ stall inside the Bass Pro, highlight how strongly the district pulls national tenants. For Marshalls, parking itself among that cluster of destination retailers could translate into stronger foot traffic than the Fiesta Trails strip provides.
What shoppers will find
Marshalls bills itself as an off‑price seller of brand‑name merchandise at steep discounts, and its new stores typically feature departments for apparel, home, beauty and kids. Shoppers who prefer the current I‑10 spot have until April 12 to visit before it goes dark. After that, the Marshalls at 5811 Worth Parkway will be the closest location for Northwest Side bargain hunters.
