W Nashville is about to get a little splashier. José Andrés Group is rolling out Glowbird, a new rooftop poolside concept on the hotel’s WET Deck, with a soft launch planned for next Sunday, April 26. The intimate, sun-soaked perch is designed to shift from lazy daytime lounging into a cocktail-forward evening hangout, complete with shareable plates and tropical drinks. Glowbird adds a poolside option to the hotel’s growing José Andrés lineup and is meant to be a laid-back spot where locals and hotel guests can linger above the Gulch.
What Glowbird Will Serve
The menu sticks to light, shareable bites. Think a Maine lobster roll on butter-toasted brioche, a watermelon salad layered with bright citrus and fresh herbs, and tropical cocktails like a classic piña colada, according to Nashville Lifestyles. The outlet describes Glowbird as an intimate rooftop poolside escape that pairs open-air energy with a relaxed, carefully curated vibe. Food is designed for lingering in a lounge chair rather than sitting down to a formal meal.
Hours, Access and Day Passes
Glowbird’s pool hours are listed as Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Day passes for the WET Deck, which includes access to Glowbird, can be purchased through ResortPass. Local guests will have daily access beginning at 4:00 p.m. through close, Nashville Lifestyles notes, giving nearby residents a late-afternoon window on the rooftop without committing to a full day pass. Expect cabanas, loungers and an expanded bar set up for easy day-to-night service.
Part of a Bigger José Andrés Push
Glowbird is also a key piece of a larger strategy for the hotel. In a recent investor filing, Xenia Hotels & Resorts said the José Andrés Group will operate or license substantially all of the property’s food and beverage outlets, with Glowbird rounding out a quartet of new concepts that already includes Zaytinya, Bar Mar, and Butterfly, according to Xenia Hotels & Resorts. The filing also indicated that Glowbird was expected to open by the end of April, lining up with the hotel’s stated timeline.
What to Know Before You Go
Glowbird is built for casual, unhurried poolside time, not white-tablecloth dining, so plan on snacks, cocktails, and a social scene rather than a long, coursed-out meal. With W Nashville already pitching itself as a dining destination in the Gulch, this rooftop pool bar adds another late-afternoon and evening option as the city eases into warmer weather. Before you head up, check the hotel’s site or ResortPass for day-pass availability and any seasonal changes to the schedule.
