A Sunday afternoon in Harlem turned deadly when a 26-year-old man was fatally shot inside an apartment building, police said. The gunfire broke out around 2 p.m. near West 149th Street and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard. Medics rushed the victim to Harlem Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. Authorities said they are withholding the man's name until relatives can be notified.
According to the New York Daily News, officers found the man inside the building bleeding from a gunshot wound to the torso and immediately called for emergency medical help.
