Another quick-service contender is lining up on Conroe’s busy Highway 242 strip, as McAlister’s Deli works toward a summer launch in the Harper’s Preserve retail cluster with a tentative July opening on the books.
According to Community Impact, the new restaurant is planned for 10354 Hwy. 242, Ste. 950 in Conroe. The company is eyeing a July debut, but an official told the outlet that the date is still fluid and could shift as the project moves through final steps. The Harper’s Preserve area is slated to host the new outpost.
Construction timeline and features
State project filings show construction at the site kicked off in November 2025 and was scheduled to wrap up on May 4, 2026, with a 2,700-square-foot finish-out and a planned drive-through, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The listing pegs the estimated cost at $125,000 and identifies RK Harpers Preserve LLC as the owner, with Alejandro Orfanos named as the tenant.
Where McAlister’s fits locally
McAlister’s has grown into a sizable national brand, with its corporate directory counting 578 locations across the country, per McAlister’s locations. The chain already operates a Conroe restaurant on South Loop 336 West, according to its Conroe listing.
