A late-night bike ride through a West Side trailer park ended in gunfire early Thursday, when a man in his 20s was shot while riding through the McMullen Trailer Park on San Antonio’s Southwest Side. Hit in the leg, he managed to pedal back to his trailer and call for help. Police say the shooter opened fire from a vehicle that sped away, and no arrests have been reported.
San Antonio police told KENS5 the shot rang out around 1:45 a.m. inside the McMullen Trailer Park near Weir Avenue and South General McMullen Drive. The man, described by officers as being in his 20s, was struck in the leg and is expected to recover, according to the station. Detectives told the outlet the shots came from a dark-colored car that took off from the park, and that the case remains an active investigation.

The South General McMullen corridor is on the city’s High-Injury Network, and local coverage has noted that San Antonio is pursuing safety upgrades along parts of the roadway.
