A turf war over a French bulldog’s bathroom break turned bloody on 229th Street in Laurelton on Thursday, when a dispute about the dog urinating on a lawn ended with three people stabbed, according to police.
Officers say the dog’s owners, a man and a woman, were attacked outside a home by a resident of the house after the argument escalated. The resident’s father was also wounded while trying to break up the fight. All three victims were taken to Jamaica Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and they are expected to recover. A suspect was taken into custody at the scene, and charges are pending.
According to ABC7 New York, officers detained a person at the scene Thursday afternoon but released few other details as detectives continued to investigate.
