THE MAC, a new comfort-food concept, is lining up a move into West Las Vegas, with city paperwork pointing to a space in the Downtown Arts District. The permit tags unit K11 in a compact shopping center near Main Street and Washington Avenue, and the project’s lead has confirmed the plan. A business entity tied to the venture also popped up in state records this week.
According to a City of Las Vegas permit, THE MAC is slated to occupy 809 N. Main St., unit K11. In an interview with What Now, Adrion Augustus, listed as the project lead, confirmed the upcoming opening but declined to share a menu or detailed timeline. What Now also reports that the LLC tied to the restaurant, Augustus Holdings NV, was created this week.
The unit sits in a small Downtown Arts District plaza that already hosts local kitchens and takeout counters, including NdUlgence. NdUlgence lists a Main Street address that matches the permit details, which helps lock in the location for THE MAC. The block is known for compact, independent concepts that pull in both neighborhood regulars and late-night crowds.
What To Expect
So far, THE MAC has not launched a public website or social channels, and Augustus offered few public details when contacted, according to What Now. The name suggests a macaroni and cheese style comfort-food focus, although the menu is not confirmed. The permit indicates the venue is anticipated to open before the end of the year.
Why It Matters
Another small, locally focused restaurant on Main Street would add to the Arts District’s slow-building revival as a neighborhood dining hub. The Arts District, often called “18b,” is centered on Main Street and has long been home to galleries, breweries and independent restaurants, according to the Las Vegas Review‑Journal. For now, THE MAC looks set to join that mix, with more details likely to surface once the owners publish a menu and official opening date.
We will update this story as permits are finalized and the owners share more. For the moment, the most concrete information remains the permit listing and Augustus’s confirmation.
